Cheer Up Little Lady

Ahhh, The years we were a kid and what our parents did to cheer us up. The pout face worked nearly everytime. Yes nearly..

I can remember once driving by this famous restaurant when I was a kid. The one with this big clown head that pops out the box. We were passing and I could smell the burgers. "We haven't went out to eat in a long time," I said. "We don't have enough money for that right now," Said my father. I turned and looked out the window of the truck. I starred at the restaurant as we passed it by and it was gone. I didn't say anything as we got further and further away from it. Then the truck turned around and went back toward the burger smell, pulled into the parking lot and I knew my father was about to take us out. Though we couldn't afford it, he took us anyway.

It's to funny now, because my daughter uses it on me. It's funny how they just pick that part of life up without being taught. Now I know what my father felt to have to give in to that look. It's simply amazing.
